How we handle personal information in connection with the Site. The Site has no user accounts, takes no payments, and hosts no product — so we collect far less than a typical app.

• What you give us. When you contact us through a form, a “book a call” link, or by emailing agnij@thenorthyard.com, we receive what you send — typically your name, email address, and anything you choose to write (and, if you mention it, your business or website). If you book a call, the scheduling is handled by Calendly, which receives what you enter to book it, under its own privacy policy.
• What we collect automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring page — to keep the Site running and secure. As the Site grows we may also use privacy-conscious analytics to understand how it is used; if we do, we’ll reflect it here.

To reply to you and follow up on a conversation you started; to evaluate a possible business relationship where you’ve raised one; to operate, secure and improve the Site; and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for third-party advertising.

We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the Site; on your consent where we ask for it; and on legal obligation where one applies. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Only with service providers who help us run the Site and communicate — for example our website host, email provider and Calendly — and only so they can perform that service for us. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, or as part of a business transaction. We don’t otherwise share it.

The Site uses only the cookies necessary for it to work. We don’t currently use advertising or tracking cookies. You can control or clear cookies through your browser at any time.

We keep enquiry and correspondence data for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting relationship, and then for a reasonable period for our records and legal needs; automatically-collected data is kept only as long as useful for the purposes above.

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and — for California residents — to know what we collect and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We don’t sell personal information, so there’s nothing to opt out of on that front. To exercise any right, email agnij@thenorthyard.com and we’ll respond as the law requires. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

The North Yard is being established in the United States, and we and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards where the law requires them.

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

The Site is meant for a professional, adult audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country), and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy; the “Last updated” date will change when we do.
